Rogers has announced the upcoming arrival of the suretap™ mobile wallet, which will include a virtual Rogers Prepaid MasterCard and gift cards from national retailers.
suretap™ technology is already being used to download CIBC credit card information using the SIM card inside an NFC-enabled smartphone.
Rogers, the first Canadian operator to offer a mobile wallet, aims to ultimately enable the loading of credit cards, gift cards, loyalty cards, and public transport cards onto smartphones.
The suretap™ wallet will be available for certain Android and BlackBerry devices.
