Vancouver-based nTrust, a peer-to-peer money transfer company, has announced its partnership with technology provider Estimote. The partnership has created a mobile payment service which uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. The application will be offered on iPhone devices which support Bluetooth 4.0.
BLE technology, associated with Beacon technology, is seen as possible competition for near-field communication (NFC) payment.
